I’ve been enjoying diving into the history of coffee as of late. One story which I’ve found quite fascinating is the origins of the mocha.

You are probably familiar with a mocha as a chocolate coffee – usually a chocolate latte. I always just accepted that name, but never really knew why a chocolate coffee was called a mocha.

This name is rooted in some really fascinating history of where all the passion for coffee originated.

Check it out, in this Cup of Joe, and then order the book Monk of Mokha (one of the most anticipated books of the year) –
